Chef Kevin,

Congrats on your progress. I just started having progress with mine as well. I'm interested in your setup because you have a Ford as well as I do. Wondering if you have a MAF? And what size is your engine? I have a Ford Ranger with the 3.0, and I know a lot of the Taurus' use the same 3.0 engine.

I was having no luck with mine until I moved the HHO tube to BEFORE the MAF sensor. Wondering where yours is hooked up? Thanks, and keep up the good work!

yeah, go BEFORE the MAF. I have the 3.0 also. I originally hd it ahter the MAF because it was easier to install, but I had hit and miss gains.

Go before the MAF and see what happens.

I am also interested to try the jaycar.com digital fuel controller, but i haven't seen anyone have it on a Ford.

RE: 2001 Taurus HHO and 2 EFIEs
my system is the typical water4gas system with 2 mason jar cells. my jars have perforated SS plates that I bought online. I may switch them to coils, but these are making plenty of gas, so I may wait a while.

Wiring a ford was a pain. I used a quick splice to hook into the windshield wiper motor power for a switched power supply. Then wired that to a relay. I connected the power from the battery thru the relay so it only runs when the ignition is on.

took me a couple days to figure this out and i really relied on the diagram from this site:
http://userpages.bright.net/~charliejoy/...age390.htm

that guy's setup is awesome. Mine is much simpler. I wonder what the pulse wave modulator is doing in the diagram.....

RE: 2001 Taurus HHO and 2 EFIEs
thats awesome. our setups are similar. I used this great thing called an 'add-a-circuit' for my switch power. its great because you just plug it into any original switched (key power) fuse slot, and then you have 2 fuses/circuits! no splicing under the hood.

one more question: do you have a resistor on one of your MAF wires? from what i understand that is much like an EFIE, but it REDUCES voltage going to the ECM. this would make the ECM think there's even less air, resulting in even less fuel being pumped. i think i'm going to try that as soon as i confirm a good mpg increase with just my EFIE and HHO.

RE: 2001 Taurus HHO and 2 EFIEs
wow, no, i haven't put a resistor on the MAF. That's a cool idea....

I still have to work on the EFIEs to get them set better. My goal is 40mpg. I really think it can be done.

I have found the Taurus really hard to work on. I'm not exactly small and there is very little room to get to anything on the car. I even have trouble reaching the oil filter so I take my car in to have oil changes.

The wiring under the dash is messy, it looks like baboons built the car. So even with wiring diagrams it's hard to figure this model out.

I'm getting ready to do this for a friend on a 4 banger ranger. There is so much room to work on his truck. Room under the hood, the wiring makes sense, just a much more clean design. I should have done his first!!!!
