You know I also believe altitude has a lot to do with it. Thats why I started building an air restriction valve on my intake ( spring loaded or maybe a weight ). I understand that the ECU will try and keep the AF ratio at 14.7:1 at all times. So it makes sense that restricting air will make the ECU lean out the burn.

No it does not make sense that the ECU will lean the burn.
The o2 sensors control the AFR.

I have a dodge dakota 2006 with the v-6. I have 02 sensors on all four sensors. The front 2 are set at290, and the rear 2 at 250. I am not running a map. I am producing 2lpm. I have had no increase in milage. Did you have to put on the map before you saw any milage gains?
What is your setting on your 02 bsensors? I am about to pull my hair out. Any advice would be appreiciated. It always seems to be those of us with a dodge that have trouble

Hey Casey,
I agree that sometimes the Dodges can be hard to get with the program as I've had a lot of trouble with mine. I'm wondering though, you are not seeing any gains in mileage but what about power? Does the engine seem to run smoother and quieter? More power?

I notice the power difference on mine right away even though a lot of times I use just as much gas Smile
