AC & DC amps???

AC & DC amps???
I have a AC amp meter.
cam check DC amps.
If I put on a battery charger I get a reading. I have a 2/ 10/ 50/ amp charger set on 2 amps it reads 2.28, 10 amps - 10.8 - 50 amps 45.3. I have to leave the clamp open a little.
is this reading close CAN SOMEONE CHECK THIS AND LET ME KNOW THANKS

I don't think this will work. You will need a DC amp meter.

Clamp-type ammeters are generally for AC only, but you probably can get a ballpark reading with it. When I check mine with a AC clamp type, I get a reading for a sec, then it reads zero. I was told the DC clamp type are expensive, the AC type can be found for well under $10.

sears sells a clamp meter that is both ac-dc for about $60 it is a 400A
model #82369,i have one and it works great.you can check it out on their web site

yes it does,look at the info on sears site and it will answer all your questions.

I suggest that you get a DC Ammeter from an auto parts store.
See Autozone. Check the list of aditional parts needed to setup an hho system. Look on the additional products page of my website
