Any results on the older BMWs?? Specifically (E34) 1995 540i???
Howdy! I'm getting another car most likely this week (just to resell MAYBE) because I found a good deal. They have a BMW 540i that's in good condition, 1995, and 125k miles. Anyway, all that aside, they want less than $2k for it and it only needs a new alternator ($120). So I'm most likely going to buy and resell the car after I fix it, no problem there.

Before I sell it (or maybe sell MY car if I like it so much), I want to install a gen for kicks (and increase resale value!). Anyone ever do an install on the older BMWs? If so, how's it going/how did it go for you? Please share, thanks!

P.S. Sorry mods if this is the wrong section, I still love this forum! Big Grin

EDIT: Mybad, the lady told me it was the 540i! This is a V8 model. I need to find engine pics so I can scope out an area to work lol!

My Car:
2006 Toyota Solara 2.4L 4cyl.
-Aftermarket (JPP) header
-DNX exhaust
-Injen Short-Ram Intake (SRI)

Hey there, I installed my gen on my 1993 E36 318 (now sold) there was loads of room under the hood for all the bits and pieces, but I don't think you'll have too much room with what you're planning to buy. Here's a link to my Bmw install http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFs_7Go5dKU
