RE: Anyone have results ER's carb enhancer?
I have a "carb enhancer" on my 1972 ford van with the 302 V8... easy to do and worth while especially to test the new lean modifications you're going to try. That vac valve under your dash is an immediate truth detector. I am also 4 jet sizes under stock on my Holly gas waster, but the float bowl vac line is a good place to start on the long journey to the holy land.

I installed it on my dads 62 Chevy II with a 194 and a 1 barrel rochester. It got 20 in stock form and after install I was getting 27-28 mpg!

Wow, I wish someone had replied to this long ago.

The carb enhancer is a simple tuning.
You put a vacuum hose onto the carb float bowl vent
and then adjust the vacuum hose with a small valve.
This causes the carb air bleed to suck air in proportion to the intake manifold vacuum. The air sucked through the bleed both emulsifies the fuel for better vaporization and reduces the total liquid dispensed by the carb. So low throttle position (light on the foot) causes higher vacuum an
a stronger effect, wide throttle position reduces vacuum allowing you to dump in fuel for "normal" acceleration.
You can buy the parts at any nappa for about $15-20.
You need a drill to put a hole in the air cleaner for the hose
and a knife to cut into your pcv hose.

This is the best way to increase the capabilities of your basic Carburetor Enhancer. The Carburetor Enhancer is a simple external method to significantly increase the efficiency of automobile carburetors.

Is anyone having a better picture of installation schematic?

EDIT: Never mind, here you go.

RE: Anyone have results ER's carb enhancer?
It is not clear to me HOW the Carburetor Enhancer - Basic kit is saving fuel. I have read the entire manual, but all I've seen is how to install and tune it. There is NO phrase remotely close to a scientific explanation of principles behind greater fuel efficiency. It sucks air from float bowl to inlet manifold. OK, so what?

Man! I'd love to get my hands on the entire book (even though it is cheap), but it's not the easiest thing where I am. I can't find the electronic version either.
