Thanks Gary you had me reworking it out in my head and every way I looked at it the bottle is full of gas. I found a 1.5L water bottle today that fits nicely in the larger tube that should not tip as the bottle rises and water is displaced with gas. I am going to turn the bottle upside down and fill the bottle with 1L of water. Next I will mark where the one litter of water is on the bottle and cut the entire bottom off at this mark. This will allow the water to escape the bottle freely.

A little off topic, but Viper, what is your dry cell setup? hat's a bunch of output on that video of yours, geeze!!
