Diesel O2 Sensors
Hi all
I need some advice on a couple of modern Diesel HHO installations that i have done the main one was a ford Focus Cmax 2005 i fitted HHO system and the customer drove the car for 250miles the instant gain was 12mpg on the motorway not bad as the cells ahere new and did not have time to mature yet. The customer took the car around town and the mpg gain Droped off! Bad news i asked him to take it to have the emissions test Done on it the resualts where that with HHO working the Emissions where 3 times higher than if the cells where switch off!

so that tells me that the O2 sensor is messing things up which is interesting on a diesel. The question i have is does the O2 sensor adjust fuel mixtures the same as Petrol? as the indications are that they do and if so are the O2 sensors on a diesel the same values as petrols ie 0.1 to 0.9 mv? would i need a NB or WB EFIE

RE: Diesel O2 Sensors
ok WHICH of the emissions were higher?
oxides of nitrogen are the most likely to be higher with the hh0
and particulate soot lower.

But, you also mentioned that the mpg benefits dropped off in town.
Was the emissions testing done in a state where the engine was getting the benefits or not?
It could have a lot to do with the hh0 bubbler being warmed up or not.

Hi Smudge

No bubbler used the emissions test went up with HHO and fast pass with HHO off to me it looks like the O2 sensor and i can conferm it has one N/B
