Dual EFIE only one O2 sensor
Can you help me? I have a 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon. (2.5 liter engine) I’m using an electrolyzer that uses stainless steel rod for its anode and cathode. I installed a dual deluxe EFIE because I “thought” I needed one. However, I now realize that only the upstream sensor needs to addressed. Whenever the EFIE is connected my car runs horribly even stops running. It runs rough, stalls, and sometimes stops running completely. The ECU has generated the following errors codes at one time or another; O2 sensor error, low idle speed, air flow error, and unknown error. Once the EFIE is removed and the error(s) cleared, the car runs fine. Is it an issue if I have a “dual” EFIE but am only connecting it to “one” sensor? I tried to get information (proper signal wire etc.) about my specific O2 sensors through your frequently asked question tool but never got a reply back. Can you help me?
