ECU Remapping
Hi,

Has anyone had their engine remapped to compensate for having a hydrogen system installed onto their car/truck etc?
Does help to improve MPG?

Thanks

Jay

It's a lot easier and tremendously cheaper to just install an EFIE. There are adjustable ECUs out there but they start at $2,500.00. Can you imagine the wiring night mere installing one? They're not "plug & play". Try the digital EFIE sold on this forum.

RE: ECU Remapping
Ecu can be remapped, google ecu reflash/obd reflash. Best way to this would be letting a professional tuner do that in a rolling road dynamometer.

Also innovate lc-1 or other kind of wideband lambda is a one great way, it has two outputs, one for afr meter and one for ecu. Both can be programmed for an output you like, it can simulate a typical narrowband lambda signal on that kind of air/fuel ratio you like. This is the best way to fool the original ecu. I think innovate is one of the most accurate wideband controllers.

Then there's something called megasquirt... http://www.diyautotune.com/

E: found out that you have a diesel... That doesn't help on a diesel engine. Do the reflash.
