EFIE 20K or 200K
I have 2 different diagrams of the eagle research EFIE.

One shows 20k pot and the other shows a 200K

WHich one is it?

200K - that's for R6. 20K is some kind of mistake, but I'm not sure where you're seeing that.

I switched to 2x 100K (thats what I could get radio shack) but I can only see about .25v gain. Which maybe enough for what I am doing. Will see

You should be able to increase your voltage. Try changing C1, R4 and R2. You should be able to easily get up to .5 volts.

If that doesn't work you can add a couple of resistors that should definitely do the trick: At the 555 timer add the following: 470 ohms between Pin 8 (power rail) and Pin 7. 15K ohms between pin 7 and pin 6. That should jump up your voltage quite a bit.
