Cool EFIE and Mach3 fuel saver
Hi,
Does anybody have any experience using Mach3 fuel additive (mach3usa.com) with the EFIE device? I have been using Mach3 in my sons 2001 focus for about 2 years now and and have been getting around 22-25% increase in fuel economy. That sound like allot, I know but Mach3 is an industrial product intended for the trucking and shipping industry. Hope somebody has the experience! Thanks, JTIN

RE: EFIE and Mach3 fuel saver
22-25% is pretty remarkable. Where do you get this stuff?

In answer to your question, I've never heard of it being used with EFIEs before. However, I don't quite see how it will gain you very much if you're already getting that much of an increase.

Theoretically the EFIE should be needed to get all the gains of any efficiency increase mechanism you can use. This would include a fuel additive which presumably cracks the gas, thus giving better combustion efficiency. But if you're getting that much gain already, I can't promise an EFIE is going to improve on it significantly. The only way to know for sure is to try it.

I wish I could give you a more definite answer.

I just can't believe that a product as easy as pouring it in your tank to get a 22-25% mpg increase hasn't caught on like the best thing since sliced bread. If it sounds too good to be true; it isn't true. If this 22-25% mpg increase were true it would have been enough to keep Chrysler out of bankruptcy. What's the FCC test say about this product? How are you measuring mpg? What's the base line for the Focus? You're not just hustling a product you have a vested interest in, now, are you? Can you post an attachment reflecting your testing data?

RE: EFIE and Mach3 fuel saver
I have a 255lph in-tank fuel pump on my supercharged 93 LX. I am going to convert to carb but retain the supercharger. Can I use the EFI fuel pump with a carb FPR? Or is the inlet pressure way too high? If so, does someone make one that can do both?
