Did a little quick math on the Smack booster using the formula in the above thread. It should pull 8.5 amps. The directions for the booster state that you need to be set up for 20 amps. I am thinking someone has built one. How many amps does it pull?

I would think the 20 amps is to have a reserve.

Personally I like the wiring to be 30 amps and fused for 20. That way you get minimal voltage drop with your wiring.

There's been several threads with Smacks in the title. You might search for Smacks and make sure "titles only" is checked.
