MAF enhancement question
I'm working on a friends MAF enhancement as described in text on
site. Text says to use ground as my reference with series resistance
in the signal wire--no problem there on my '92 Grand Marquis--but my
friends MAF has a ground and an ECU MAF "return" wire (as well as the
MAF sensor input (Brn/Blk) and ground (Blk/Yell) (Wht/Red=5vdc)--the
MAF return is Org/Blu. It is a '99 Ford Escort (S/L I think). I get the same DC voltage on ground to signal as on MAF return (to ECU) to signal (0.7 to about
1.5 vdc)when I rev engine. The question is do I use ground (as text states) or MAF return
to ground my voltage divider to (the text does not show a MAF return
in its drawing)?
