Need help in setting logic
Hello

I have
  • Ford C-Max 1.8l flexfuel. Drive with gasoline
  • wet cell +NNNNNN- 0.7 l/min, 3.7 amp with NCE-Electrolyte
  • Hydroycorp VMU2/Powerbox2 for 2 O2
  • Pot 0-45kOhm in the Ford-MAF signal
  • Standard 29 mpg

l/100km .|. saving .|. MPG .|. Poti .|. O2
6.40 .....|. 22.2% .|. 37 ..|. 21 .|. 330
7.74 .....|. 5.9% ..|. 31 ..|. 21 .|. 330
7.67 .....|. 6.8% ..|. 31 ..|. 21 .|. 330
5.73 .....|. 30.3% .|. 42 .|. 21 .|. 330
8.23 .....|. -1.3% .|. 29 .|. 22 .|. 330

Here you see my wide range of results with the same settings, same trip. But these results are not made at the same time. The first strategie was to hold the kOhm and change O2-value. But I didn't see a logic.

l/100km .|. saving .|. MPG .|. Poti .|. O2
6.83 .....|. 17.0% .|. 35.0 .|. 8 .....|. 360 .|. today
5.45 .....|. 33.7% .|. 43.8 .|. 8 .....|. 360 .|. yesterday

Yesterday was a highlight with 43.8 mpg. The weather was little raining
today with the same settings only 35 mpg. The sun was shining.
Now I will let the O2-value and change the pot in kOhm.

So -- what have I to do (lower or higher) the poti when
(1) the weather is fine.
(2) the temperature change from 18deg to 30 deg.

Thanks for the knowhow transfer
Greeting from Switzerland
Martin

RE: Need help in setting logic
How many Km's are you doing before you work out your consumption.. If very low then consider that it is quite easy to add or lose 2 ltrs when filling up the car.

Hello
It's my way to work and back: 95 km
50km highway, 10km city, 35km country with 2 village

The weather is fine, so I try now at 20 kOhm.

l/100km .|. saving .|. MPG .|. Poti .|. O2
6.45 ......|. 21.6% .|. 37.1 .|. 10 ..|. 360
6.24 ......|. 24.1% .|. 38.3 .|. 12 ..|. 360

Thats my point.. If you have a + or - 2 ltr error each time you fill then thats about 30km you could be out or around 30%

I would do at least 300-400km before making any conclusions

The range of my calculation is impressive.
At mine 95 km a range of -2l to +2l is 5.63l
190km (2 days) it's 2.11
285km (3 days) it's 1.40
475km (5 days) it's 0.84 (driving Mo-Fr)

The only bad thing is to find out after a week, that there are no saving. Sad

RE: Need help in setting logic
In the zip is my XLS with the results of the too often refill.
the weather was different, temperature between 8deg - 30 deg.

Do you see any logic?
What settings would you recommend me?
