What if EPA checked HHO
I'm wondering what would happen in the EPA ran a test on the HHO system , with the EFIE , PWM and generator installed . Do you think they would fail it flat out , or would they pass it ?

just curious to know.

Are you referring to emissions testing?

You would prolly have to disable your system because your emissions would be so low that the machine cant read it. Hence you would fail.

Get this kind of info into the hands of green peace or some other enviro group and they would help push hho

This is what I was wanting to do , is it worth it ?

2. Combo (FTP75 + HWFET), bag only emissions $1100.00 6 $6,600.00

• Drain and fill with test fuel (EEE)

• FTP74 preparatory cycle

• 12-26 hour soak between prep and test

• Measurement of NMHC, CO, CO2, NOx, and Fuel Economy

3. Optional Combo (FTP75 + HWFET), bag only emissions $1100.00 3 $3,300.00

• Drain and fill with test fuel (EEE)

• FTP74 preparatory cycle

• 12-26 hour soak between prep and test

They could put congress on it then start a commission etc, etc etc,
Their is a hefty fine in California for modifying emissions on cars.

The EPA is a wholly owned subsidiary of corporate America?

Reduced emissions are supposed to be one of the effects of injecting HHO. Better burn efficiency = reduced emissions?

RE: What if EPA checked HHO
Yes, but does that happen if you do not mess with the O2 sensors or Map?
Messing with those is illegal.

They get in this argument all the time on the CNG forums because an aftermarket EPA approved CNG kit will run 15-20K because of the 100-300K in testing required. However, foreign, non EPA approved kits can be imported. Discussing those is banned on a lot of forums because they mess with the on-board emissions system to make it work...

Testing of a system like this would require the same monetary investment. Most likely the EPA would require not only a per-model approval, but per-engine series approval. It would get quite expensive.

If you live in a state that does not test, then who will know?

Really , I had no idea it was illegal to mess with the O2 and MAP sensor .

The letter I got was from ROUSCH LAB in Livonia Michigan .

and what I posted above was the tests they were going to do .

All I need to do is prove a 3 to 7 MPG gain , maybe this can be done with just a PWM and good generator ? or do I still need to mess with the EFIE.
