RE: Why Neutral Plate
I wondered about that, too. In a couple of my Smacks Boosters, the neutral plates seem to produce as much, if not more gas bubbles than the + and - plates.

RE: Why Neutral Plate
The neutral plate lowers amp draw and adds surface area for more production of hho. They also lower heat build up in the generator.

RE: Why Neutral Plate
I have had many plate artangements, you need 3 nutural plates between a pos.and neg.
plate or you will get that red crap in your sell. Plus it cuts down on heat. the hotter it gets
the more amperage it draws and the more red crap. Try this arrangement it works great
for me. ---nnn++nnn--- I did this arrangment after looking at a smacks. the more + plates
the more 02, the more -plates the more hydro. I have found that the more - plates, it
slows the flame a little. Good luck it works for me.

You make neutrals the same size and material of your anode and cathodes.

RE: Why Neutral Plate
Hi. Think of your cell as a series of resistors. Each space is a resistor(water liquid resistor).

It acts as a voltage devider. The optimum voltage for a cell space is 1.5 to 3 volts. anything over that
will make heat.
so 4 neutral plates makes 2.76 volts per space. 5 neutrals makes 2.3 volts per space.
then regulate the current with adjustment of the concentration of naoh.
further control can be acheived with a pulse modulator. [PWM}
