automatic vs manual
Does anyone know if an automatic transaxle (FWD) drive ring gear fit a manual transaxle? I would like to get the final drive gear ratio down to 2.84:1 vs the now 2.94:1.

RE: automatic vs manual
You didn't mention what kind of car, but it don't matter because I have never heard of anyone trying such a thing. Only .1 in gear ratio is not worth taking apart a tranny. You can get better results from higher or narrower tires than only .1 at the diff. Your ratio is already low, some honda cars have 4.40 stock in the si trans.

Remember that bigger tires will make your speedometer off & not accurate.
