b.b. smack wiring
hello everyone!
i have recieved a B.B. smack Gen IV dry cell and i am somewhat confused on how to wire it.

i plan to use 12v and i thought i had it right, but i didnt even get 1A.
i messed with my electrolyte solution, but that had no affect whatsoever.
so im pretty sure i have it wired wrong somehow.

but i tried almost every configuration i could think of, so i really dont know what to do.

if someone could explain in detail how to wire it, or what im doing wrong, that'd be great.

the BB smack wiring pic is my picture that i took and labeled how i wired it
the smack's diagram is the wiring diagram that he has on his site that i thought i followed.

also,
one thing that i found odd,
when i first connected the cell to the power source (car battery w/ charger), the amp meter jumped up to almost 10 just for a split second and then went down immediately. i dont know if that has to do with anything or not.

if you want to edit my picture i took or draw one yourself that'd be amazing Smile but if you can explain it instead, that works too.

thanks all

grant

A bit hard to see.. As long as the plate with the negative lead on the left is in front of the plate with the positive lead and inbetween the 2 cells are seperated by a spacer.

RE: b.b. smack wiring
why dont you try running it on the bench for a few hours.. If its a fresh cell it takes some time to condition and amps will build in time

hey i figured out what it was!
i emailed smack, and he said it needed to be 13.8v not just the 12v that my quick charger and battery were putting out.

i want to buy a 13.8v 10A power supply...
anyone know a good one?
