I believe you would end up with sodium acetate!

NAOH Sodium Hydroxide, and vinegar will, if you mix them in equal parts and strength, CANCEL each other out...if you spill NAOH or KOH on anything, including yourself, we simply spray a dilute solution of vinegar on it and it neutralizes it instantly. The best electrolytes to use, with a PWM are, KOH (potassium hydroxide) or NAOH (sodium hydroxide).

The amounts with an 80 to 85% pure of each, that works very well for us is:

4.5 lbs in 2.5 Gallons Distilled or R/O Water for NAOH
6.0 lbs in 2.5 Gallons Distilled or R/O Water for KOH

THIS IS ONLY GOOD IF YOU HAVE A PWM FOR CONTROL. If you don't have control, it will PUMP out the AMPS and GAS but the heat will come too. (very simply put sorry)

Hope this helps...

Hi Bob

Thats why i stay with vinagar at the moment as it keeps the amps down with no pmw but it does have some negitive by products! but i find you dont need to top-up very often at all say 1-2months and as it may use 10cm of vinagar!

RE: electrolyte
So, if I use twice the strength of vinegar, then electrolyse, I can expect to get the bi-product CooCoo?

Hmm!

Maybe that's why most use KOH or NaOH. Two of the more sensible electrolytes.

Sigh! Maybe I aimed too high..

Maybe if I re-write CooCoo as Cukoo ??
Or maybe if I explain that someone who is referred to as 'cukoo' here in the UK came close to last in the IQ queue?
Nope. I won't bother with explanations. Takes all the fun out of it.

Guess my old boss was correct after all when he said 'Engineers have no sense of humour'.

Let's try a different approach using prompts.

LAUGH
Ok. Count to 10 slowly and keep laughing

STOP LAUGHING

That work for you?
