is EFIE needed on lpg vehicles ?
HI,thinking about putting a hho generator on my lpg ford el 6 cyl. ( australian) to use in conjunction with the lpg.

i know you have to use a EFIE with it on petrol efi cars , BUT with lpg is there a need to use a EFIE ?

cause the o2 sensor ( as far as i know ) doesnt do anything on lpg.... the lpg comes straight from the converter to the intake...

whereas the o2 sensor on petrol , helps adjust the injector opening times etc...

any thoughts ?

If your car has a computer and oxygen sensors, then, likely yes, you'll need an EFIE. But I would try it first without the EFIE. You should be able to get a 35% improvement, or better with a decent HHO generator. If you are unable to get that, then get an EFIE on your sensors.

I have had other guys use our EFIEs with LPG with success. But I've had so little feedback, that I don't have good certainty on what to expect. But in theory, it should all work the same as with gas.
