using urine
I just started using a mixture of urine and water, and it is working far better than anything else. Anyone else doing this?

sounds good....how do you keep it free of gunk ? (when i tried it, it got murky and thick real fast)

approx what ratio do you use ?

About one part urine to twelve parts of water, but I am still refining that. I am going to use a smaller unit, with less electrolysis area, and then I will have a higher proportion of urine.

Yes it gets gunky. I am putting in a drain plug so that I can easily flush it out and replace the mix on a regular basis.

What is the reaction involved?

If it is similar to ammonia, it only produces more H2 rather than (H+ OH-).
Some recent experiments at Ohio University proved that you get a lot of H2 production mixing ammonia with water and KOH.

I wonder what happens with urea + water + KOH.

What voltage do you use for the electrolysis? It should be far less than the water (ammonia should be 0.05V). This means less power from battery.

It mentions something about Nickel plates

Do you get any benefit with the stainless plates, although 304SS is supposed to contain about 8% Nickel ?

So I guess the gas production would remain the same but less Amps ?

mikaya how is it going, do you use any NaOH or is it just distilled water.
Did you modify the cell at all ?
How many amps for the 12:1 mixture and how much gas ?


I have only seen 2 videos on youtube and both showed little or no gas production ?

We can change from Urine to AdBlue. Maybe AdBlue make no gunk.

Look like we could use your normal cells. First we break out urea H and after that the H20 H. I will make a test.

BUT silly world. Do not add H in front of the diesel and profit of more power and less of Liter. But after they use it for cleaner emissions.

Hello

with 0.5 Liter AdBlue and 0.5 Water (no KOH) I can drive about 100 minutes.
(after 100 min. I can't feel the good effects of HHO anymore.)

In AdBlue is 30% cleaned urea and 70% destiled water.

When I add only 1 liter pure AdBlue the cell reach 0.7 amp
with 45 pieces KOH I get 1.5 amp (after the first 15 pieces KOH the amp lowers)
After a use of 600 min. the cell-water is more brown than only with water.
The negativ side of the cell was every clean. I espected the see some Lime. But I didn't see it.

1 liter water (no AdBlue) with 29 pieces KOH the cell use 2.5 amp. The good effects of HHO is already present.

Conclusion:
For my trips "way to work" 2x 40min. I have to change the AdBlue every day. That isn't "easy life" way. Low amps is also with water posible.
Maybe in a mobilhome, where the urine is avaible by the system.
