A Pulse width Modulator abreviated as PWM. Its basically a DC moter controller.

a dc "moter" or is that a "motor".

Sorry Ted, I couldn't spell my way out of a paper bagg!Big Grin I ment a motor. If you google "PWM" and "hho" you will see a bunch of them. They are around 35-50 bucks depending on what you want (ie size, meters knobs switches etc)

What a PWM is. I will try to explain the basics.
A dc motor control is often accomplished with a pwm.
A pwm uses an oscillator to make an amplified square wave signal.
These pulses (part of the square wave voltages) are controlled in time on vs time off, (or duty cycle "on" time) That is what is meant by pulse width. Duty cycle is usually adjustable. This signal Turns on a mosfet transistor for discrete time intervals. That is how the current is handled.
The "off" resistance is high and "on" resistance is low (about.005 ohms) in avalanche (on ) condition. Some transistors are rated at over 100 amps at avalanche condition.
Mosfets are sometimes put in a paralell circuit in pairs to handle larger loads, like over the (maximum) continuous rate for the individual transistor. The term "Drain" is applied to the transistor collector element. It will be connected in the path of the cell current to ground as a solid state switch. hope this comment was helpfull.

RE: what devices are there to control amps?
It was on my series cell, I want to try and increase the mix and keep amps down. First Iam going to add a few neutral plates in between to drop amps, I want to get 2 liters per minute. Iam at 1.15 min per liter now. But notice after3.5 -4 hours I start getting hot. This is on test bench, no vacume, no circulation. Temp is comming up to 125
