will crystal type sodium hydroxide mix with water?
I found roebic crystal drain opener at lowe's will this mix with water for my dry cell?

If it says "100% pure Sodium Hydroxide" (or Potassium Hydroxide). Otherwise just get the pure stuff.

You can get either one from http://www.thelyeguy.com . It's cheap.

If you're not in the U.S., then just google for soap maker's materials in your country.

Thanks mike. By the way with sodium or potassium am I wrong on thinking it will raise the temp of the cell do to the chemical reaction? Just wondering as usual.

The current through the cell will cause the temp to rise. As your current goes up, so does the temp.

Energy is not released making HHO as HHO is at a higher energy state. Energy is consumed with this chemical reaction.
